The Hawkes Bay Radio Flyers Club in association with Watts Up Hobbies held an Electric Flyin on the 30th of June 2004

Thanks everyone for coming, we had a great day, even with the less than perfect weather.

The wind on the Saturday was very strong and gusty so I'm not aware of anyone who ventured to the field that day. On Saturday evening a few of us met up at the Corn Exchange for a relaxing meal out and a few drinks.

Sunday

Sunday dawned fine but cool and breezy with a dull sky. Thanks go to Kevin for the loan of the tent and assistance through out the day. This provided much needed shelter from the cold wind.

Some reasonable flying was had in the first couple of hours of the morning with a few lighter models being able to venture out. Luckily no rain appeared this time around although the wind steadily increased through out the morning which resulted in an early prize giving at about 12:30pm as everyone seemed to have had enough.

A sausage sizzle was provided which was well patronised! Thanks to Stuart Sturge for helping out here.

We had 12 registered pilots which was a little disappointing however the weather did not help with the turnout. Surely one year we will have to win the weather jackpot!
